Uppsala Kasperteater

Vi är en dockteatergrupp i startgroparna. Vi spelar traditionell kasperteater med kontemporära element. Vi är Dolores Fors, som är utbildad dockmakare och högskolepedagog, samt Charlotte Gottfries är skådespelare, regissör, universitetslärare i drama/teater.

Vår teater ämnar reflektera en folklig kasperteatertradition med interaktiva element i föreställningen. Vi spelar var som helst – i parker, teatrar, stora rum, skolor och förskolor samt offentliga miljöer.

Kasperteater är en specifik dockteatertradition från Tyskland där man använder ett ordnat persongalleri och arketyper. Traditionen har rötter ner till 1600-talet och innehållet har alltid anpassats och förnyats efter rådande tidsanda. Detta gör att Kasperteater inte behöver vara tidsbestämt gällande värderingar, uttryck och moral även i samtid. Därför speglar vår kasperteater vår tids goda värderingar, utmaningar och moral. Vi spelar för alla åldrar.

We are a puppet theater group in the starting blocks. We perform traditional Kasper theater with contemporary elements. We are Dolores Fors, who is a trained puppeteer and university teacher, and Charlotte Gottfries is an actor, director, and university teacher in drama/theater.

Our theater aims to reflect a folk Kasper theater tradition with interactive elements. We perform anywhere – in parks, theaters, large rooms, schools and preschools and public environments.

Kasper theater is a specific puppet theater tradition from Germany that uses an existing selection of characters and archetypes. The tradition roots back to the 17th century and the content has always been adapted and renewed according to the prevailing spirit of the times. This means that Kasper theater does not need to be time-specific regarding values, expression and morality even in the present. Therefore, our Kasper theater reflects the good values, challenges and morality of our time. We perform for all ages.
